PCI Compliancy and PA-DSS 2.0 is a process that helps enforce security and prevent the theft of credit card and debit card data during electronic payment transactions. All merchants that process credit cards and debit cards must use a PCI Compliant system. Oceanside has successful taken our flagship product Oceanside POS ® 2.0 through certification and it is listed on the council's website as an approved payment application.

With so much sensitive electronic data flowing through networks, building security aware software is more important that it has ever been. Oceanside Software focusses on software security by recognizing software vulnerabilities and weaknesses from the conception of a project to requirements capture, design and configuration of the software and underlying networks and hardware the software operates on.
More specifically this is part of Oceanside’s Software Development Life Cycle SDLC and it does not end when the project is complete. We implement automatic update methods that can quickly address any potential software vulnerability that may be discovered long after the initial application has been deployed. We borrow software development and design techniques from a standard used in aerospace known as DO-178B. This standard helps assure bug-free and secure software that performs as expected.
Oceanside is also familiar with PA-DSS 2.0 and PCI-Compliancy, standards used by the credit and debit card industry. Our flagship product Oceanside POS ® is PA-DSS 2.0 validated and verified; a process that is both challenging and vaguely defined by the authors of the process.
